Dear Friends, Patrons, Volunteers and Supporters:
We are so grateful for the support our community has provided to help Carrollwood Players Theatre remain active and sustainable during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As always, the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, and staff is paramount.
While we have been disappointed to cancel in-person events at the theatre, we are delighted to have found new ways to fulfill our mission.
We had hoped we would be able to proceed with in-person performances of A Streetcar Named Desire in late July, however, with the latest news about increasing cases, we have made the difficult decision to cancel these plans.
We hope to present a live, online reading of this classic play on July 31st. We will announce more information soon.
Currently, auditions and rehearsals for future shows are being held virtually.
Speaking of the virtual world, we have lots of online activities coming up. These provide our volunteers with a way to continue participating in theatre, while providing our community with a way to experience it.
While many of our upcoming online offerings are free, our loss of revenue from in-person performances is severe and unprecedented. We ask anyone who can to consider making a donation when viewing, or anytime.
Be sure to check back here on our website, and follow our Facebook page for news about all of the online events and activities we have coming up, and thank you so much for supporting your community theatre.
Sincerely,
The Board of Trustees and Staff of Carrollwood Players Theatre
